Its Swimsuit Edition features only the best models in the business, and today, we look back at the magazine’s stellar list of swimsuit models who are sizzling hot.

Rebecca Romijn became famous and highly-sought after when she posed for the magazine, as well as Daniela Pestova. Christie Brinkley became famous because of modeling and she became a household name in the modeling industry. Molly Sims became an actress. Burlesque artist Dita Von Teese, otherwise known as the former wife of Marilyn Manson, recently launched her sexy lingerie line for Target. The burlesque dancer, who has made her name and a living from her vintage-inspired image and her revitalizing of the art of burlesque, is also a keen businesswoman. And she proved this by launching her own line of sexy lingerie for the chain store Target.

The sexy lingerie line is called Von Follies by Dita Von Teese. She recently launched this in Melbourne, Australia. Donned in a clingy purple wrap dress, Dita even wore a lacy bra to perhaps give the customers a little peek at her lingerie line.

According to reports, Teese’s pale skin was flawless from head to toe and she posed up a storm for the photographers at the launch. Her medium-length black hair was perfectly coifed into a classic 1940s hairstyle, with a deep side part and large roll curls that tucked under at the ends.

“Roll curls, or standing pin curls, were a staple in 1940s and ’50s styling. They are basically a large pin curl set to curl hair under at the bottom – or out at the bottom for more of a flip at the ends. Velcro or heat curlers can be used to achieve the same effect, and if you want Von Teese-worthy hair, curl hair under, then brush out with a large paddle brush to smooth the curls together, creating a sleek style that tucks under at the bottom.”

It may still be cold and windy right now but soon it will be spring and people might need to change their wardrobe selection real soon. And fashion pundits say that the trend this spring may all about be colour – especially orange.

From colour-blocking to super bold prints, women have the chance to make statements with their outfits.

“Coral is definitely everywhere in every line,” said Alyssa Titus, owner of Azura Clothing in downtown Rehoboth Beach.

“If you’re really on point with colour, you’ll look contemporary.”

Titus said things are really flowy and kind of bohemian this year, with lots of long skirts and “blousy” tops. Trends are moving away from fitted, menswear-inspired items to loose and feminine.

Even the trend when it comes to swimwear will be all about colour. A tankini in bright colours can create a great spring look. Titus also said that tankinis and other swimwear pieces in bold, vibrant patterns will soon be seen over the runways during Fashion Week celebrations so women right now may need to stock up on those types of tankinis.

Titus also said that it may also be a good idea to stock up on tankinis in tribal print along with bikinis. Those will also come in handy during the fall season, according to Titus.

Pastel colours are also a popular choice and a great way to achieve the ladylike, feminine look. Pairing a baby blue or cotton-candy pink blazer with jeans is a simple way to be on target with the trend, experts said.

Jennifer Lopez sure is a busy bee with her boytoy.

The “American Idol” judge was again recently spotted out with her boytoy Casper Smart. JLo was even wearing a very sexy and skimpy yellow bikini while her new boyfriend Casper Smart was topless and showed off his muscles and tattoos.

The bikini clad Jennifer Lopez lounged under the sun while hanging out with friends on a yacht in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil late last month. Reports say that the 42 year old singer, actress and endorser was on vacation with Smart.

Recently, the “Jenny From the Block” singer posted on her Twitter page: “In bed SO GRATEFUL we reached 1/2BILLIONviews of OnTheFloor same night I get ready to shoot new video THANK U ALL! R U Ready 2 #DanceAgain!”

According to swimsuit shop manager Kelli Nykoluk, when you’re wearing a suit that doesn’t fit properly, everybody sees it. Hence, it’s important to get the right fit.

Nykoluk says that the wrong swimsuits are too big. This usually happens because people think it’s not good to buy swimsuits that are “too tight.” Nykoluk explains that what people do not realize is that the swimsuit stretches half a size when it is wet.

So when you buy too big, you end up with saggy bum and straps that keep falling off the shoulders, Nykoluk explains.

“You have to be in the right frame of mind – the right mood – you have to be patient, you have to be willing to try on what (experienced sales staff) think is good for your body type, and you have to have the time to do it. It’s good to come by yourself and not drag all of your kids in with you,” Nykoluk said.

“It’s fine to bring along a friend, but you need to be focused because it’s a big job.”

A former Spice Girl has reportedly designed a clothing range inspired by the Union Jack motif. Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell (also called Ginger Spice) has designed a clothing range fashioned out of her iconic Union Jack dress.

The clothing range does not only include clothes that bear the Union Jack logo but the range will also include a tankini, a bikini and even an off the shoulder top.

Halliwell’s iconic Union Jack dress was so popular especially during their Spice Girls heydays. The singer-turned-designer wore the famous show-stopping mini dress for a Spice Girls performance at the 1997 BRIT Awards. She has now created a line based on the patriotic piece.

Halliwell has partnered up with Next for this newest venture. Halliwell has an existing partnership with the said company. She already designed dresses, lingerie as well as swimwear for the said company.

Halliwell originally wore the popular Union Jack dress almost 15 years ago. Initially, she was only supposed to wear a plain black Gucci dress but since she found it boring, her sister sewed a Union Jack tea towel on the front. The dress eventually became so popular that it even sold at auction for £41,320 the following year.

The former Spice Girls member launched her new line in Central London recently. There were models who wore pieces from the clothing range. Halliwell meanwhile wore a cowl neck replica of her dress teamed with patent blue heels.

A seventeen year old boy was recently caught stealing swimwear. The suspect, who remains unnamed because he is still a minor, was caught Wednesday stealing 24 pieces of swimwear from a stall inside a mall in Pasay City, Philippines.

According to authorities, the incident happened at Two Shopping Mall Center in Taft Avenue Extension, Pasay City on Wednesday afternoon. The boy is from Tondo, Manila, one of the more depressed areas in Manila, Philippines. The mall security officer in charge, Ronald Pascual, was able to apprehend the minor.

According to the investigation report, when Pascual confronted the suspect, the minor could not present any receipts that could prove that he indeed bought the swimwear. He was apprehended and brought to the police station. Stall owner Joey Uy pinpointed the stolen items as the missing swimwear products from the stall.

Since the boy is still a minor, he may be sent to the nearest social welfare agency.

Meanwhile, authorities also say that a man was brought to a police station after he allegedly took a civilian’s cellphone. Investigation showed that victim Adrian Lobo was about to board the train at the Light Rail Transit-Gil Puyat station when he noticed a man who allegedly took his cellphone which was placed in his right pocket. The suspect then passed the cellphone to another cohort who was on board the train.

The victim grabbed the suspect and sought assistance from the security guards. The suspect was later identified as Paterno Villanueva, 34, of Damka Street, Sta. Mesa, Manila. Police were not able to recover the cellphone which was carted away by the other suspect who remains at large.
