Representing the country of South Africa, KwaZulu-Natal, born Ncube is in the Miss Bikini, the very first-ever category of its kind to be incorporated in the WPF Body-building World Championships.

She bagged and was crowned Miss Bikini Universe 2011 within five months of having begun her fitness and physique regime.

Her life transformed when she teamed up with well-known trainer Lenge Kalenga, who became her private mentor and her road to health and beauty reached new heights instantly.

She said that her training had been consistent over the past few months. Initially, when her trainer took over, he had a plan to prepare her for an international competition in two year’s time. Ncube said that she has had challenges personally during her preparations that she had to overcome each and every day that passed. Ncube also added that it is an honour to achieve this milestone in a short period of five months time for her country.

Kalenga designed Ncube’s diet and eating plan with the assistance of a strategic training programme made specifically for her to prepare her for fitness modelling competitions that started in July 20. Ncube said that she started training at 3am for more than an hour, six days a week, and it has never been a walk in the park, she added. As soon as you develop a six-pack you have to move to a different category and maintain it.

Most recently she was picked out from 150 contestants as one of the top six finalists for the USN Face of Fitness event. The feminine side must still be maintained and a defined flat stomach is a plus. The 36-year-old mother of two has a full-time job at the Industrial Development Corporation, where she works as a portfolio manager. She holds an Honours degree in Commerce.

The judges were looking for toned muscles but not the masculine type. And she had it.

Swimwear with a built-in tummy control. This green beauty is designed by Nancy Ganz available at Kirkcaldie & Stains in Wellington and Ballantynes in Chch, and also featured some Hold Me Tight shapewear swimwear last week that is also perfect for apple shapes.

There are a lot of ways to acquire the perfect swimwear for you. You can go for solid block colours which are the simplest answer to flattering an apple shape. But if you live for fun colour then use it to create illusions. Those swimwears with dark colours on the sides and a brighter colour down the centre will produce the illusion of a thinner middle.

The best bottoms are those in low cut. A high-cut bikini bottom will only highlight the tininess of your ass. It all gets a bit whack when you have the wrong size of bikini and what you really want to do is balance out your silhouette.

The top one piece is apples best one-piece has detailing around the neckline to draw the eye upwards. Well-built busts will advantage from halter neck styles, or styles with inbuilt support. In cooperation halter necks and bust support will also do lovely things to your décolletage and draw any fool’s eye to “them” instead.

And the best bikini – when searching for the bikini you may discover that its easier to acquire separates. Like this you’ll be able to pick up a top in one size and a bottom in another, which is a very widespread incidence for apples. You’ll also be capable to mix up your colours which are where the magic illusions happen. Stabilize out your top-heavy silhouette with a darker-coloured top and a lighter bottom. On the other hand you can try a solid colour top and a printed bottom. As being said previous this, larger busts need support so underwire styles and halter necks are great.

What more could a woman want? David Bush, womenswear general manager, also reported rapid business for the bombshell, but predominantly among younger women. The next year’s sales for Gorman were even better and this summer, the look took a leap from niche market to mainstream.

Caz Ingersole of retail chain Swimwear Galore said they sold three times as many of them than the smaller, basic bottom. She describes it as feminine, and femininity is really strong in fashion, plus it accentuates the figure, is quite supportive, and it’s got a kitschiness to it that they will surely like, particularly in vintage style prints.

Designer Lisa Gorman launched her first versions of the bombshell three summers ago and realised instantaneously she had a hit on her hands. The high-waisted pant used to be a high-fashion item, but at the present it’s very mainstream already. They’ve definitely seen a resurgence of the high-waisted fashion currently and now it’s by far outselling any other shape and Gorman can see it going on for at least the next few summers. Girls totally love it because its fashion forward, but also comfortable and practical in every way they see it, and it’s the biggest trend this season, she added.

Girls have testified that they’re totally practical for swimming laps and the two-piece comes over your belly button and fits nicely around everything you need it nicely around. And for the first time since the 50s, one-piece swimsuits and two pieces with high-waisted pants, and wide-strapped brassiere tops are proving as popular for summer as the classic ”itsy-bitsy” bikini. Swimwear  brands including Jets, Isola by Megan Gale, Seafolly, Aqua Blu, Gorman, Tigerlily, Baku and Alannah Hill’s eponymous swimwear collection launched this month, are amongst the dozens offering versions of the iconic style popularised by Hollywood bombshells Rita Hayworth, Lana Turner, Esther Williams and Marilyn Monroe in the 1940s and 1950s.

In New York, Swimwear Anywhere Inc., which is the second biggest leading swimwear provider in huge part of North America, has made a decision to set up a bigger China area operating hub in Taiwan, in accordance with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York.

Friday, December 23, the representative of the office said that the company plans to make use of Taiwan as a support to build up its product lines for the market in the superior China area, while the Taiwan core will be in charge for procurement.

In accordance with the office, the choice was pressed by the contract signing of the Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA) which was signed between Taiwan and China the past year that provides over 500 items of goods and services from Taiwan privileged tariff status or the easy market access to China.

The business ties which are closer has a clear advantage for the reason that across the Taiwan Strait, due to the ECFA, have drawn attention to a lot of multinational firms to set up their bases in Taiwan, which serves as a launch pad to the massive mainland market in the near future of this project launch.

Over and above Taiwan’s increasing economic connections with China, the country’s hale and hearty business environment and enhanced legal structure are expected to be of assistance to the Swimwear Anywhere project that will extend its reach in the Asia Pacific region, said Chen Kuan-hsiang, the head of the economic affairs division of the Taiwan representative office in New York.

Chen also said that the hub will also serve as a communications channel for contract developing and product excellence control in Taiwan, China and Vietnam.

It’s all change for London this 2012 as the current push for competitive swimming gear, “streamlined”, has becOlympic Swimsuit ng change. But what the athletes might not be able to know now, however, is that their swimwear was created with the help of a cohort of British academics, helps boost the speed, buoyancy or endurance of the swimwear wearer. Who wouldn’t want to be involved in making the fastest racing system yet? Along with the home favourite, Rebecca Adlington and Michael Phelps of the US, who became the first swimmer to bag eight medals for the said country, at the Athens Olympics in 2004 are a few who were able to wear the swimming gear.

Phelps admits he did wear FastSkin2 upon winning the said titles. He has already signed up also to wear the new suits being launched at next summer’s Olympics.

The sport’s governing body decided to investigate, and then banned the outfits, stopping manufacturers from using materials that aided “speed, buoyancy or endurance”. Jeff Peakall, the university’s project leader, a reader in process sedimentology, spends most of his time working on fluid dynamics in the deep-sea, in applications such as oil drilling, and on nuclear waste management. Ultimately, of course, it’s exceptional swimmers who break records, but the suits can help swimmers in finding those fine margins.

This is what brought astonishing news last 2009, a surprising 168 swimming world records were smashed after the introduction of Speedo’s full-body LZR racing suit. As a result, swimming apparel-makers went under the radar for a while. Speedo’s bid to create a suit with the lowest possible level of fabric drag – the measure of how easily a material enables water to move over it – saw it sign up academics at the Sorby environmental fluid dynamics laboratory at Leeds University.

An elegant 1865 example...

Women’s swimwear has undergone such major change through the years that if we were to place the swimwear of yesteryear and today side by side, the differences are startling. Firstly, there would be a distinct decline in the size of them, follow by radical alterations to mention the design and texture of the material used.

Mavis Plume, a resident of Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom , has been collecting women’s swimwear for half a century and her collection includes Victorian-inspired bathing suits up to the modern-day bikinis.

With her son encouraging her to share her collection to the public, Plume’s collection is now part of the exhibition currently being staged at the Southend Central Museum. The museum hosts a celebration of 150 years of swimwear by showcasing the items that spanned these periods.

Museum curator Clare Hunt said that they were impressed with Plume’s collection because some of the swimsuits are rare creations and that most of the items have withstood the test of time and still remained in perfect condition.
