Vintage swimsuit making presence at Australian Fashion Week

Vintage swimsuits are back via the creations made by Karen Nielsen. The swimsuits which are inspired in the fifties era will be featured in the Australian Fashion Week this Friday.

The designer revealed that her collection was inspired by old photographs of her parents at The Entrance, a regular holiday destination for the couple.

Nielsen said that she loves the fifties era, saying that she’s fond of popular items back then such as jukeboxes and milk bars to mention a few. She’s also an avid fan of actress Grace Kelly.

The designer said that her vintage swimsuits are supposed to target the younger generation but she said that she gets a lot of orders from older women.

Nielsen has been designing swimsuits for the past 15 years. She’s a former swimsuit model. She revealed that she just loves swimwear which makes her job easy.

Pop star Lady Gaga is rumored to wear a fishnet bikini on her second appearance at the top rating talent search “American Idol.”

The Grammy-winning artist appeared in the show for the first time two years ago where she performed “Just Dance.” Now a global figure, the artist has reportedly demanded a huge sum for her upcoming appearance. The talent fee she allegedly asked for was a quarter of a million dollars.

Despite such rumors, the artist’s appearance is inevitable since she’ll be taping her performance for the show now that there are only five contestants left running for the top spot.

A source stated that her fishnet bikini outfit will surely catch everyone’s attention. Aside from that, a specially made stage has been created for her.

She will be performing original choreography during the production number as well.

Dublin mother ventures in successful women’s swimsuit business

Dublin-based businesswoman Lois McCourt ventured into women’s swimsuit business by accident – due to her desire to find a swimwear that would fit her 40-something body figure.

McCourt said that she was trying on swimsuits at a store and got discouraged because she did not find anything that fits or flatter her body. She added that most of the suits she tried were tight, loose, short or long.

She then came up with a resolutions – lose 15 pounds and create her own swimsuits.

Being a graduate of Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, coming up with this business was not as hard for McCourt. However, she revealed that she focused on fashion merchandising at that time and not design, admitting that she doesn’t even know how to sew at first.

However, with pure grit and determination she was able to put up the business, get local support and she ended up expanding her business.

Kim Kardashian dons on designer swimsuit in sexy beach shoot

Voluptuous reality television star Kim Kardashian wore a number of designer swimsuits during a raunchy beach shoot that was conducted recently.

In a magazine interview, Kardashian said that she loves her body and its shape. She stressed that being super thin is not an attractive option for her.

However, the brunette beauty admitted that she always keep herself in shape by spending reasonable time at the gym. She said that she also goes through personal exercise routines at home.

About her television show “Keeping Up with The Kardashians,” the sexy star said that it is the best job “in the world.”

She said that she gets to be paid to live a normal life which is not something that comes along everyday.
Her sisters have their separate reality TV show shot in Miami, Florida.

Swimwear shop loses $5,000 in merchandise

The authorities in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina are currently investigating a store burglary that took place at La Plage Swimwear located at North Kings Highway.

According to reports, more than $5,000 worth of merchandise items ranging from thong swimwear to board shorts were stolen on Wednesday morning. Some of the items have retail costs of $1oo to $300.

CCTV cameras revealed that a white male wearing gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants and white tennis shoes broke his way into the store at around 3 in the morning on Wednesday. This was corroborated by the store employee who told authorities that she found a broken window and a rock on the store’s premises which was believed to have been used by the burglar.

The police is currently conducting a thorough investigation on this case, finding witnesses who could help catch the thief. Their only lead for now is the surveillance video from the store.

Pop star Britney Spears showed off her great body via a new spring campaign for Candie’s and her sexy photoshoot was covered exclusively by Entertainment Tonight.
In an interview, Spears said that she loves the brand due to its numerous styles that fit her taste. She said that the shoes look great and she also stated her preference on the brand’s bikini line.

Her photos were shot by some of the industry’s known photographers: Terry Richardson, Mark Seliger and Annie Leibovitz. The campaign is titled “Britney Spears Through the Lens.”

Spears was quoted as saying that it was an honor to work with three of the most famous photographers in the world and to be able to work with Candie’s is a great opportunity for her as well.

The Candie’s brand items can be bought exclusively at Kohl’s.

Sexually charged bikini swimwear application for Apple iPhones gets removed

United Kingdom-based swimwear design retailer Simply Beach encountered a hitch in its venture when its shopping application for Apple iTunes and iPhones was removed because of its alleged “overtly sexual content.” The application was developed by Explodingphone and features pictures of bikini swimwear that are sold on the Simply Beach online site.

Simply Group Managing Director Gerrard Dennis said that they got the announcement via email. He thought at first that it was a joke because the email came through the spam folder. However, when he checked iTunes, he discovered that the application was indeed improve.

As of now, the company opted to resubmit their application to iTunes with the age restriction option. Dennis said that they are optimistic that their request will be granted, adding that they are just a small business trying to venture into mobile shopping market.
